Our mission
Sharing Health And Hope In Cameroon Africa (SHAHICA) is committed to improving the well-being and opportunities of children, families, and communities in Cameroon. Through access to healthcare, education, and community-based support, we work to create lasting opportunities for people to build healthier, more independent, and more hopeful futures. Founded in 2006, SHAHICA began with the belief that meaningful change starts by responding to the needs of the communities themselves. Today, our work focuses on three core areas: healthcare, support for vulnerable children, and education through the SHAHICA Free Public Library.
Our approach to community development
We believe lasting development begins with listening to communities and investing in their long-term potential. SHAHICA combines immediate support with sustainable solutions in healthcare, education, and community development. We work closely with local communities and partners to respond to needs, expand access to opportunity, and develop programs that can grow and reach more communities across Cameroon.
